We usually have a featured reader. This month's reader will be announced soon.
In a laid-back, salon-like atmosphere come and explore the written and spoke word. Bring your work to share or bring a favorite poem. No mics, no crowds-- only positive feedback, great coffee and a taste of Kenmore's hidden treasure.
We meet at Espresso Works located at 6734 NE 181st, just off or rt. 522, across from City hall and behind Taco Time.
The evening begins at 6:00 with coffee and conversation. The readings begin at 6:45
Come and share your prose and poetry at our new local cafe, Espresso Works. We plan to do once a month open mic readings of prose and poems. We will have a featured reader and some fun give-aways. We plan on meeting on the third Wednesday of each month. We meet from 6-8 at Espresso Works, a wonderful new coffee house across form the new city hall in Kenmore.

Poet Sue Selmer is our featured reader on Wednesday, February 15th
Here's a brief bio for Sue Selmer that appeared with her poetry in "Yours Truly," the annual literary arts publication of Cascadia Community College and the Creative Arts Club.
Sue Selmer is a lifelong eastside resident, born in Kirkland and living in the Bothell area. She earned an MLS from the University of Washington, and spent her career in public library work. Now retired from librarianship, she enjoys writing, reading, gardening, and hiking, with a special interest in Northwest natural history.
